The photos were taken at Cantigny park. It’s similar to the botanic gardens. However it’s more military based. It’s the estate McCormick owned. There’s tanks, gardens, rivers, trails, museums, and when we went there they had a civil war reenactment. Its free entrance, $5 parking fee. It’s in lisle IL, not too far.
While I was there, I saw this monument so I went on it, spread my arms out like an eagle between to statue’d dogs with a cross behind me. I felt this cold chill as I walked passed the dogs, I stared down and below me was the grave of McCormick’s wife. X.X I ran so fast and deleted all those pictures.
